Year 9 and 10 feel fine. Then the Year 11 mocks arrive, and a child who was “doing okay” needs a 7 but is working at a 5, with only months left. The problem isn’t your child, it’s the timeline: schools finish the syllabus in the spring of Year 11, leaving almost no time to practise exam questions.

Year 9 questions.

Is Year 9 too early to start GCSE?

No. Starting in Year 9 spreads the GCSE course over three years. By the end of Year 9, half of the content is done and practised with exam questions, so Year 11 can be spent on past papers and exam technique rather than catching up.

What happens when Year 9 ends?

Your child keeps their seat for Year 10. In August there are Edviro summer revision lessons, and Year 10 lessons start in September.

Can we choose only some subjects?

Yes. Maths, English & Sciences covers all five subjects, Maths & Sciences covers four, and each subject can also be taken on its own.

Which exam board is English taught for?

Our English lessons are most compatible with AQA. For other exam boards, we check compatibility with you first.

What if my child misses a lesson?

Every lesson is recorded, so they can catch up or rewatch it whenever they need to.
